The shuttle days are scheduled for:
Saturday, June 2nd 8:30 am-4:00 pm
Sunday, June 3rd 8:30 am-4:00pm

Prices are as follows: $55 for both days or $35 for each day.

State what day(s) you are planning on shuttling in an email to me at maryd@brmba.org to reserve your spot on the trucks. If you know anyone that doesn't have Facebook, please let them know about our event and how they can reserve a spot. Money is not needed to reserve a spot, just an email.
(We will not take 'maybe' or 'possibly' for reservations, sorry)

If you are interested in volunteering for the shuttle day, please notify me at maryd@brmba.org and I will let you know what areas we will need help with.
So far, I need drivers, first aid people, and mechanics. If you know anyone that doesn't have Facebook, please let them know they can email me at maryd@brmba.org to volunteer also.

Important Reminders about the Black Rock Trails!

Please remember the normal Black Rock rules:

1. Stay on the road that leads up to the trails (please don’t trespass on the camp property; don’t drive past the camp entrance do not park in the camp field)!

2. NEVER speed down the road through the camp at the end of the day! The MAX speed is 15 MPH; better yet go slower, enjoy the view and wave and say hi to the campers!

3. Be courteous when parked, don’t change in direct view of passers by; remember there is no alcohol allowed in the parking lot (it’s a county road and it’s not legal). Please remember this is a church camp and lots of kids are coming and going, they don’t need to see your bare backside! Watch your language and please no loud music!

4. Leash your dog while one the camp property; DON’T let you dog use the camp field as a bathroom (kids play here and hey you don’t like falling in dog do-do and you don’t want that on your shoes!).

PLEASE if it’s your first time to BR, take time to read the rules; If you are a REGULAR at BR then please be vocal, remind people when they aren’t following the rules (be nice, but SPEAK up!). IT IS UP TO ALL OF US USERS TO MAKE SURE EVERYONE FOLLOWS THE RULES. All we need is that one person to ruin it all for all of us!

An Opportunity To Support The Organization That Meticulously Operates The Black Rock Trail System

For just short of a decade, the Black Rock Mountain bike trail system has been provided to the public by a small group of local volunteers. Ten years ago, these riders banded together, forming a non-profit organization with the mission of building a top notch trail system, and maintaining access to it. As the Black Rock Mountain Bike Association, we are dedicated to the continued public access to, and care of our precious jewel that is Black Rock.

We have been extremely fortunate to have a volunteer base that is quite unbelievable. Our build days seen numbers in excess of forty strong. Our organization is responsible for providing tools for all these builders to utilize, as well as the Honey Bucket to keep things clean. The fact is, there is quite a long list of expenses to cover.

After years of getting along with an uncomfortably low budget, we have decided to launch a membership program in order to encourage our riding public to donate to our organization. This will be the first time we have charged for membership, and this does not mean you have to be a member to ride at Black Rock.

This is an opportunity to support the group of dedicated people who are working hard to maintain public access, coordinate volunteers, and continually refine the trail system we all love.

For an annual membership fee of $40, you will receive a membership card and 2 membership stickers. Each year will bring a new design to the cards and stickers.

Black Rock has been awarded the honor of being included in IMBA's Epic Trail Program for the Pacific Northwest Region for 2010. This announcement comes as yet another form of recognition of the hard work and dedication of every volunteer.

Each year, International Mountain Bicycling Association (IMBA) chooses one trail system that has "the biggest influence on riders, as well as land managers and decision makers"* in each region. Each trail is nominated by riders and selected by IMBA staff. Black Rock joins a prestigious list of trails from across the nation.

"There are a lot of things that make Black Rock a perfect nominee for the epic program along with the focus on progression, the incredible organization behind the project, the quality of trail building and design, the amazing amount of progress that's made each year and the precedent that you all have set through working with a public agency to create top shelf freeride and downhill mountain bike trails."*

We are all stoked on this amazing honor, and feel lucky to have such great support from all of the riders, builders, planners and everybody else with a love for the mountain. A special thanks goes to all of the trail managers and board members that make sure that our utopia continues to exist. This recognition belongs to everybody who has ever had a hand in supporting such a great project.
